Is it just me, or is today's Enhanced risk with a hatched tornado zone in an unusual location? Parts of that area are desert or close to it. Just not usually the part of Texas I associate with tornadoes.

usually during a strong La Niña enso, see a uptick during cold season severe weather events or outbreaks . Areas watch would be lower Ohio valley , mid south Tennessee valley and parts Dixie… these threats are mostly nocturnal events mainly due to the intensifying lower level jet , which intensifies during over night hours
